Become head of a growing and well-functioning group
The Acoustics & Mechanics group within Hardware focuses on the development of new triple brand platforms. We are a large group with a lot of great potential. Our goal is to deliver discreet industry leading hearing healthcare platforms through increased specialization and strategic reuse. The team challenges conventional solutions to enhance both end-user and customer satisfaction. We work all the way from the early concept phases to final introduction to production. We have our own tool manufacturing and our own assembly in Denmark and Poland.
You will join a stable, growing and well-functioning group. You will head about 50+ highly skilled colleagues with electro-acoustic and mechanical backgrounds. Here, you will have 7 direct reports. In your role, you will be accountable for all deliveries, people management, and strategic direction for this function. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the delivery road map to the overall product road map for your function. In addition to this you will be responsible for developing and implementing the group •Responsible for developing and implementing function strategy aligned with the R&D strategy

•Follow relevant processes and standardsfunctions’ strategy aligned with the overall Hardware strategy. You will provide direction and clarity on a strategic level within your own function and for external stakeholders. It will be essential to ensure that goals and plans are clear, up-to-date and aligned with the overall Hardware strategy and overall plans.
Furthermore, you will plan and optimize resources to meet agreed deliveries, including seeking cost optimizations. On the people managerial side, we expect you to develop competencies and talents of your employees, plus develop and build leadership capabilities within your own leadership team. More than that, you are motivating and inspiring towards stakeholders throughout the whole value chain. Overall, smooth and efficient interfaces with other R&D, quality and operations functions, especially the other R&D Hardware functions Electronics, Framework and Test Systems & Verifications is inevitable.
Significant contributor to the Hardware R&D strategy and trendsetter
You are expected to be a significant contributor to the Hardware R&D strategy, showing a deep understanding of the overall value proposition and the role of the acoustics and mechanics parts in this greater picture. You will participate in steering groups for development projects and be part of the boards managing product support plus the board for new product introduction. And – finally – you will have an important and significant role in the R&D Hardware Leadership Team, where we expect you to contribute with your knowledge and ideas as much as possible.
Your professional and personal skills
You come with a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering or another related field. You have a professional talent especially within mechanics, materials, electro-mechanical simulation methods, electro-acoustic plus CAD design methods. You have 10+ years of experience within Hardware including an excellent technology understanding and 10+ years of leadership experience.
You possess strong interpersonal skills and build strong relations with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You have a strategic and analytical mindset and can keep your head cool in busy times without losing the overview. You are well structured having a methodological approach and can create a sense of urgency when needed for the deliveries to the product road maps. You furthermore understand how to balance innovative concept work with shorter-term deliveries and have shown proven execution power, combined with strong process- and project capabilities. Overall, you are not afraid of taking the final decision and overall accountability and can provide direction and clarity to technology development activities. And finally, you can nurture an innovation culture within your area and can set direction for and deliver a “One Team” behavior.
You can expect 30-35 travel days per year.
