In your new role, you will gain full responsibility to lead and drive our largest and most advanced development projects end-to-end. This means planning and executing from concepts to successful release to the market. Our projects are multi-disciplinary. Therefore, you will lead diverse people from production, engineers, clinical people, among others. Furthermore, our medical products are super complex, which makes the task even more exciting. Our overall goal is to become market leader in our field.
The position is based in our headquarter in Smørum just outside Copenhagen. Our project activities are however distributed across several sites (Nice, Gothenburg and Stettin), so multi-site project management will be a natural part of your daily work.
Here at the headquarters, you will be part of a team of Project Managers leading projects in Oticon Medical covering our Bone Anchored Hearing Systems (BAHS) portfolio. Our team is in R&D, and you will report to the Senior Director of R&D. You will also work closely with our sister company Oticon ensuring synergies and reuse across hearing instrument and bone anchored development.
Your key responsibilities include:
• Leading a project team of skilled development engineers and project managers
• Ensuring deliveries complying to medical, regulatory, and internal quality requirements
• Project reporting and milestone reviewing according to our quality management system
• Ensuring the right compromises and decisions both on overall product scope and down to technical specifications
• Pro-active stakeholder management - both internally and to external partners or subcontractors
• Ensuring MDR and FDA compliance and high quality of our solutions together with Clinical Affairs and Quality
You can expect about 20 travel days a year.
You come with a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or another relevant background. You have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in managing product development projects, programs, or new product introductions preferably within the medical device sector. If you have experience from a heavily regulated industry, it will be a plus.
You furthermore have a good technical understanding and experience from working with cross-functional teams across multiple sites. You are result-driven and capable of setting clear goals for yourself and your team. You can easily create a strong team spirit among your multiple stakeholders.
And last, you need to be fluent in written and spoken English, as this is our company language.
