We are looking for a motivated and driven engineer (recently graduated) with background in the field of audiology to join our Core Audiology development team as cover for maternity leave. You will work with a team of experts to develop solutions that make a real difference in the lives of our end users (hearing impaired people) and our customers (hearing care professionals).
In your day to day work you will work as a part of a SCRUM team practicing the Agile methodology.
You will be part of our development process on a system level. This involves implementation of features as well as contributing to system design, gaining some understanding of the features in terms of system architecture, writing and reviewing system and platform requirements as well as system test cases for the features your SCRUM team is responsible for.
The features that your team will work on have a direct impact on the end users as well as the Hearing Care Professionals. You will be expected to gain an understanding of what is important for the end user e.g. optimizing sound quality and user experience against speech understanding. You will also be expected to gain an understanding of how Hearing Care Professionals work and what is important to them when fitting hearing instruments to end users.
Your main Responsibilities

• Development of requirements, system architecture and design
• Work and communicate effectively within a team and with stakeholders across different departments in the company.
• Work independently on tasks, while seeking information and reaching out for help if needed
• Feature design and verification in collaboration with our test team
• Idea generation and innovation projects for audiological solutions
We are a medical device company and therefore it´s also important that you have the ability to document and develop solutions of high quality to comply with standards of regulated bodies.

We are looking for a person who is ready to take responsibility for and drive technical solutions in a complex and controlled system.
In order to succeed it is essential that you have a B.Sc. / M.Sc. within MSc. in engineering, audiology, psychoacoustics, acoustics or similar. If you are a newly or recently graduated candidate, we would very much like to hear from you. Experience with coding (e.g. python, Matlab etc.) is considered a must for this position.
On the personal side you are structured in your way of working and using guidelines and documentation comes natural to you. Joining us you will be gaining an understanding of our hearing instrument system, development tools and processes.
Finally, you have a willingness to learn and be challenged.
