The Graduate Programme

We offer 5 different Graduate Programme tracks: Global Diagnostic Business, Digital Business, Engineering, Global Finance and Global Operations.

All our Graduate Programmes are 2 years long, during which you will explore the company and develop your personal and professional skills through four job rotations of 6 months. Each period will enhance your business understanding both functionally and geographically.

No matter which programme you choose, you will be working closely with a Host Manager to plan your rotations and enhance your professional and personal development as much as possible. A personal manager and a go-to manager of each unit will support each rotation. Former graduates will act as mentors to guide you through the programme and our corporate culture!

The application deadline for 2020 has passed.

Meet the graduates

Kristine Clemmensen-Rotne

MSc Industrial Engineering and Management

Started the Graduate Programme in September 2017

I joined the Graduate Programme because I wanted to be challenged to the limits of my own capabilities, and thereby expand my knowledge and skills in the process. I am born curious, so to me it is a big gift to be able to experience so many parts of the living organism that makes up a big company like William Demant.

Has it been challenging so far then? Oh my, yes indeed. But it has also always been a fantastic learning environment, where I get to try to the best of my abilities. And if that turns out not to be adequate, then the safety net kicks in. Help is always within reach and lessons are learned from each experience.

During my various projects in the Graduate Programme I have worked with almost all the different stages - from the early development to the final production and distribution of our products. Through this work I have had the chance to understand the different values of the different teams around the organization, and why it can be difficult, but also necessary, to make ends meet.

To illustrate my point; Yes, we do need to be first to market, but we sure also need to ensure that our quality is top of the line, every time. For me, it is highly exciting to have been part of making such ends come together in a big and complex organization like William Demant.

Alexander Cordes

MSc in Engineering, Operations & Supply Chain Management

Started the Graduate Programme in September 2018

I joined the Graduate Programme because it gave me the unique opportunity to gain holistic insights into how a global company manages worldwide operations. Furthermore, it enables me to work within different disciplines and functions to gain a deeper understanding of daily work routines and cross-functional tasks and projects in the value stream.

As a William Demant Graduate, I have been presented with inspiring and challenging projects from day one. The daily work includes exposure to and close collaboration with the Global Operations management group and colleagues from several different departments.

This includes cross-functional projects and joining weekly Operations management meetings, where I am constantly updated on current critical tasks and activities. In my first rotation, I have been working on outlining a roadmap and an operating model for a project, which aims at integrating global operations data and processes into a holistic business system landscape.
